Visa

No, no, not the credit card, the tiny piece of the puzzle that has taken up about 9mnths of our lives. Mike got it in the mail today, he said it was so much anticipation, but there it was, lol a tiny little thing in his passport, how can such a little thing make all the difference in our life? along with the passport he also got a big yellow packet, he cant open it, its like having christmas presents under the tree for a month and knowing you want to open but cant. he gave his notice today as well, june 19th is his last day, he flys out the 29th.

Someone said...

so, im not much of a writer or a blogger, i hardly change the status on my facebook! But people tell me i should journal about the going ons in my life, i mean what could be so exciting right now? I probablly should have started this over a year ago when i met mike online, but like i said not much of a blogger. So i start now, a background on mike and i. We met online in 2008, and quickly be inseparable, oh except for the 5,000 miles between us! we talked day and night and night and day, mike has gotten a good night sleep since!!! He came to visit me in feb 2009 and we knew it was meant to be, since he lives in england we knew we would have to go through the visa process for us to be together. The task was daunting, oh who am i kidding our heads are still spinning, but we are finally as the finish line. His interview for the visa is on may 20th, he basically has to go in and prove that he wont be on state assistance. we started out with the i129f, i had to prove we were in a relationship so there was 80 pages of proof sent to nvc (national visa center) we started in august and got a rolling start and finally got passed to dos (department of state) in november. mike was visiting so we didn't get started on the next leg till he got back. we starting with a running start in december getting mike his medical and police certificate, and got held up at the birth certificate. finally everything got sent to the embassy, for the next three months dos was not our friend. I hated calling and hated hearing "you not yet qualified" actually we got some different answers, some made our heart stop and some made us panic. no one seemed to know anything about our file and no one could look up anything, finally mike got tired of hearing me panic and called the embassy (which costed us our first born child it seemed). Finally we got the answer we were waiting for "you are eligable for an interview", then we got "your interview is may 20th" sighs of relief from us and both our family sounded all over the world. once we get approved for the visa we have 6mnts to have mike move to the us, after that 90 days to get married. you think we would wait 6mnths? no way!!!! mike is scheduled to move here june 29th, we both cant wait to be with each other again and start our lives together. our wedding is sept 18th, and the planning has started. my dress is bought, a photographer was found. flowers were decided on and attendants were asked to participate. my very charismatic brother sean got ordained just for the occasion and i cant wait for our small family wedding!
